Media Appearances

Helen's therapeutic approach to teaching yoga clearly benefits those who study with her. Her unique take home messages (OmWork) through her weekly newsletter, as well as, social media presence continue a seamless connection with her clients and community. She teaches the following yoga styles: Chair Yoga, Gentle, Hatha Vinyasa, Hip Hop Yoga, Laughter Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Prenatal/Postnatal, Restorative and Yin. 

It all began in 1998. She attended her first yoga class at Therapeutic Approach Yoga Studio while recovering from a motor vehicle accident and studying at Dalhousie University. A proud Dal Alum with an Advanced Major in Neuroscience. She is a clinical researcher in Radiation Oncology (Interdisciplinary Thyroid Oncology Clinic) at Nova Scotia Health Authority. 

Being of service to her community, Helen chooses to volunteer her time at patient wellness programs at Keshen Goodman Public Library on a regular basis. Living yoga on and off the mat is her passion and profession.

Helen Fong is a dedicated full-time yoga professional since 2006. Training extensively in Halifax and Vancouver.  She is a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher, Certified Yin Yoga Teacher, Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher (500hrs CYT) and Yoga Teacher Training Faculty with Therapeutic Approach Yoga Studio (TAYS Yoga).
